I agree with you les.  I thought the presentations about the state budget crisis, the banquet speech by Mark 
Riccobono, and scholarship presentations, as well of course as the excellent auction this year, were great highlights.  Thanks to Mike freeman for again putting together an outstanding agenda.  We came away with a message that there is hard work ahead to keep our educational services, at the school for the blind, at the library for the blind, i.e. Talking Book and Braille Library and at the Department of Services for the Blind, intact.  But we came away with a positive message, that we can drive, yes, drive, our lives, and even a car.  The broad message, that we need not just be passengers, but can drive our own destiny is at the heart of every program we have at the National Federation of the blind.
