Maria Bradford, a member of the National Federation of the Blind of
Washington's Board of Directors, recently had cancer surgery. All went well
and the prognosis is good.

 

Maria is staying in a care facility in Yakima. I spoke with her this evening
and she sounds good; she is upbeat and cheerful. She wanted all of you to
know that she is doing well. She is taking a leave of absence from her job
at the Inland Empire branch of the Seattle Lighthouse for the Blind until at
least May while it is determined if she will need further treatment.

 

Again, Maria is doing well.
