The thesis of UEB advocates is that Braille translation software would be more accurate if UEB were adopted. Symbols not ordinarily accomodated in standard English Braille as it is now written could be handled. Thus, if one excludes mathematics, the argument between UEB advocates and detractors becomes whether exact translation of print symbols is important.
