Fellow Federationists:

I now have information on the cost of convention registration and meals. If
people preregister, the cost of convention registration will be $10 per

$60 per person for a total cost of $70. If people do not preregister, the
cost of convention registration will be $15 per person and the cost of the
two meals will be $65 for a total cost of $80 per person. Preregistration
ends at close of business on October 9.

To register for the convention, send a check, made out to NFBW or the
National Federation of the Blind of Washington to Doug Johnson; P.O. Box

instructions below. I urge everyone to get room reservations made ASAP.

Friday evening's meal will be steak with wine sauce and a brownie for
dessert. The Banquet meal on Saturday evening will be meatloaf with
cheesecake for dessert. The Board of Directors meeting will take place
during Friday evening's meal.

I'll have the information shown here on the web site later in the week. And
don't foreget: there's still time to submit applications for NFB of
Washington scholarships for 2012. Information is on the web site, that is,

Subject: [nfbwatlk] Upcoming Convention of the NFB of Washington

Greetings, Federationists and friends.

The NFB of Washington convention for 2012 will be upon us sooner than we
realize. It will take place at the Holiday Inn Downtown-Everett, 3105 Pine
Street, Everett, WA, on October 19, 20 and 21. To make reservations, please
call (425) 339-2000. When making your reservations, please indicate that you
will be attending the convention of the NFB of Washington. I urge all to
make reservations as soon as possible. Guaranteeing a large number of rooms
by September 19 will stand us in good stead when negotiating future
conventions and will guarantee that there are rooms for all.

Room rates are $89 per night for singles and doubles; $99 per night for
triples and quads. There will be a tax of approximately 15% added per night
to the cost of rooms.

I will have more information on cost of registration and meals later in the
week.

This year will be an exciting convention with new and interesting agenda
items. Stay tuned.

You won't want to miss the convention. So get those room reservations in
early!

Michael Freeman, President

National Federation of the Blind of Washington
