Subject: [Wcb-l] Request for participants in Microsoft Windows 8 study
The Microsoft Windows accessibility team is conducting a research study on
Windows 8. We are recruiting people who have a vision impairment to explore
the new Windows 8 operating system. We will provide the laptop and assistive
technology needed for you to use Windows 8. The study will last about an
hour, and be held at a location convenient to you. During the study, we will
ask you to try out Windows 8. We will also ask you a few questions about
your typical computer use.
We are recruiting people who:
1. Are blind and use a screen reader, or
2. Have a vision impairment and use high contrast, large fonts or
screen magnification
3. Have used a tablet computer (such as iPhone, iPad or Android
tablet) The study is planned for the week of March 5.
If you are potentially interested, please contact annuskap at microsoft.com
<mailto:annuskap at microsoft.com> . I will provide more details about the
purpose of the study, logistics, and compensation for your participation.
