Severe weather is expected late tonight (Jan. 16) or early tomorrow morning.
Because of this, Community Transit is planning to operate limited commuter
service with double decker coaches on Tuesday, Jan. 17. Only the first and
last trips of each commuter route are scheduled to operate. If weather
conditions allow, more trips will operate.

Also, Route 414 will not serve the McCollum Park P&R because double decker
coaches cannot serve the bays there.

If the expected severe weather arrives, local service will operate on an
hourly schedule. The first and last trips of local service will run. If
weather conditions allow, buses will operate more frequently.

This information will be updated by 5 a.m. Tuesday.

Here are some tips for bus travel during icy conditions:

*	Get to a park & ride or other major hub for the best service
options. 

*	Snow or wind damage in one area may cause delays elsewhere in our
system. 

*	Buses have a hard time stopping or starting on icy hills. If your
bus stop is on a hill, wait at the stop either at the top or bottom of the
hill. 

*	Make sure you are visible to the coach operator. Carry a flashlight
or something reflective to use for flagging the bus and wear light or bright
outerwear. 

*	Dress warmly and wear sturdy footwear. You may need to wait longer
or walk more in poor conditions.
