As of nearly six a.m. outside of Shelton, we have about three inches of snow
on my deck.  Now my deck has a huge fur tree in front of it. The tree offers
protection from the snow.  It is coming down hard and is blowing a bit also.


So far a half inch from the weekend, about an inch from Tuesday's storm, and
about three inches at six a.m. 

Glad I have a rug runner on my deck.  I swept the snow off of it so I have
very good footing outside to watch my dogs play, smile.  The lab wants to
eat all the snow, giggle. The golden likes making pathes with his nose,
giggle.  I have silly dogs, sweet smile.

Due to the winter storm forecast, the National Weather Service has advised
people to avoid travel unless absolutely necessary on Wednesday, Jan. 18.
Five to 10 inches of snow is forecast.

Community Transit has determined it only will provide limited commuter and
local service on Jan. 18. Downtown Seattle and University District commuter
routes will operate first and last scheduled trips. If possible, additional
trips may operate in between. Also:

*	.         Route 414 will not operate. 

*	.         On Route 424 in eastern Snohomish County, buses will not
enter the Monroe Park & Ride. 

Local service will be very limited Jan. 18. The National Weather Service is
predicting secondary roads may be impassable, which would severely impact
local service. Local bus routes will operate the first and last scheduled
trips. Other than that, buses may only operate every hour or every two
hours, but there could be even longer periods without service.

Regular Community Transit 40-foot coaches will operate on the Swift route.
Swift is scheduled operate on its regular schedule.

Updates will be provided starting by 5 a.m. Wednesday.
