I figure if I haven't heard from someone for years, there's a good reason.
So I see no reason to reconnect. But then I never was comfortable with a
large number of trivial friendships.

Hi Kris, yeah, it gets old sometimes, doesn't it?  I sometimes 
think I should just get off Facebook, and then somebody that I 
haven't coneard from in years requests me to friend them and it's
