There is increasing interest in development of technology to help blind and
visually impaired people solve the numerous challenges that they face in
daily living, work, and recreation. Jose Tamayo , , will discuss the many
benefits that can be derived from setting up an accessible home
entertainment system using Apple technologies.  He will discuss the roles of
each piece of technology.  Jose will discuss some recent work that he has
been doing in his
own setup to have access to entertainment solutions at home.   Jose will
overview the capabilities that this system has and what he is able to do
with it.  A discussion of the various components  will allow the listener to
grasp
how the system is put together from a physical standpoint.    A discussion
on
where to obtain the technology will follow as well.  One important factor
that will be discussed is how to put the system together and what is
required in terms of challenges to setup this type of entertainment system.
Lastly, the details on how to get iTunes working with the entertainment
system will be discussed, detailed, and demonstrated.
