If you think Google has become too complex and that Bing is working hard to
catch up in the complexity/useless gewgaw department, fear not; your
complaints have been heard. There's now a new search engine without ads and
showing only what you really want - searches. There's some javascript but it
hasn't gotten in the way so far.

 

The site is http://duckduckgo.com <http://duckduckgo.com/>  and its avowed
purpose is to go back to searching the way it was meant to be (say the way
Google was in 1999) and with no tracking of searches.

 

Give it a try!
