Position Profile: Do you have a passion for aiding and improving the accessibility for people with disabilities? Are you knowledgeable in disability matters and up-to-date with disability discrimination and equal access laws?
If so, you may be the candidate we are looking for to fill the ADA Accessibility Coordinator position within our Ferries Division. This position will be a key component in shaping, developing and extending a program dedicated to providing better service to Ferries’ customers with disabilities.
Serving as Ferries’ expert regarding ADA compliance and policy development, you will be the “go to person” when issues or complaints arise concerning equal access to Ferries’ facilities, programs or services. You will be responsible for investigating formal complaints filed against the agency related to customer disability discrimination or equal access issues. Under the direction of the ADA Compliance Manager, you will resolve and identify creative solutions to complaints that occur at Ferries’ terminals and vessels.
