What a horrible mess!  And to imply that you were using your 
blindness to gain sympathy!  Shame on them!  Yes, if kiosks were 
accessible, you would not have had to rebook your flight.  Alaska 
ought to repay you something because it was their employee who 
refused to help you.  How totally rude!  I'd have probably
