Be glad you don't have to cross the border. The cheapest tickets we could
find were over $800. Some prices were as high as $1200. A fifteen day All
Aboard America pass costs less than $500, provided you're willing to spend
four days on the train each way. It's a fun way to travel, but for that
price you'll sleep sitting up in a coach seat. Having gone from here to
Atlanta on a Greyhound bus, the train is certainly better. However, by the
time you buy food on the train, you may as well have taken a plane. The
major advantage to the train is that tickets for children and youth are half
price.
I've also heard that hotel rooms are going fast. Registration is available
on line at the reduced rate until may 31. It sounds like the convention
will be as full of fascinating events as it always has been.
I hope we'll have a strong delegation from the Northwest - or in our case,
the Southwest. Grin!
