Subject: [leadership] Audio Description--President Obama's second inaguration--on-site and on ABC

Dear friends—

I’m excited to announce that ABC television will broadcast its coverage of President Obama’s second inauguration with audio description provided by ACB’s Audio Description Project. (We hope that ACB Radio will be able to tap into the coverage and simulcast it—I’ll send out another note when and if that’s confirmed.)

ABC’s coverage live coverage (with live, extemporaneous description) will begin at 9:30 am eastern time on Monday, January 21 and continue until 3:00 pm. Be sure to tune in to ABC with the description audio option turned on.

Also, for those of you who will be in Washington, DC, description will be offered for those who can attend the Inaugural Parade in-person! If that includes you, be sure to meet at the southwest corner of 12th Street and Constitution Avenue in Washington, DC by 11:00 am. The describer is Marianne Metz and she can be reached at 703 677-7853 if you need to contact her on Monday morning. She will escort description users one block to a reviewing area at 12th Street and Pennsylvania Avenue.

Hope you all can join us either in-person, on ABC, or, hopefully, on ACB Radio!

All best,

Joel
