Hello Everyone,

I have sad news! Wednesday evening, Susan had a stroke, and she called 911
for the paramedics. Her parents were notified by the hospital staff. Her dad
called Velma and Velma called me. I called Susan. She knew she had been
taken to the hospital. I could tell it was a bad stroke. I told her we loved
her and that was brave to have called 911.

The phone went silent. She must have slipped into the coma later, because
she dinot awake again! Her dad called Velma to tell her that Susan passed
away yesterday morning about ten A.M

I don't know anything about arrangements yet.

Susan was our secretary! She was looking forward to the convention in
October, and making something for the auction.

I know we will miss Susan for a long time. Susan was such a special person.
Her accomplishments were many, completing High school and college, and
learning Braille. She loved to read recipies and bake tasty cookies and
banana bread for our fund raisers.

Maria
