Let us know you'll be there to stand up for Transit!
Stopping 17% bus cuts? Finishing sidewalks? Filling potholes? What are
your transportation priorities? The state Senate is coming to you to find
out.
Like you, we have been working to address our state's transportation
crisis crumbling roads, broken bridges, cuts to bus service, and
unfinished sidewalks and bike lanes.
We want the legislature to pass a transportation package this November but
we'll only get that if the Senate hears loudly and clearly that voters
like you are demanding action. They want to hear from you about what needs
to be included in a transportation package.Let's show them the huge demand
to save transit, fixing our roads and providing safe biking and walking
infrastructure.
In order to make room for more attendees and to avoid making the public
wait in long security lines, the Senate Transportation listening tour
Seattle location has changed.
Monday, October 14th from 6:00- 9:00pm
First Presbyterian Church, 1013 8th Avenue (served by King County Metro
routes 2,3,4,12 and 60)
RSVP to let us know you will be there!
King County Metro is facing cuts that could eliminate 65 bus routes and
reduce service on 86 more in 2014. It's time for action -- without new
funding, these cuts will begin next fall.Legislators need to know that
that we want more money for transit and to make it safer and easier to
walk, bike, and drive. That's why it's so important that you attend this
special public hearing.
Jacob, can we count on you?
Absolutely, I will be there to show support for a transportation package
that includes transit, walking and biking.
Thanks for your continued work. I'll see you there!
