There is exciting news for people who use iPhones, iPads and iPods with
Internet access: the long-awaited BARD Mobile app, allowing one to read NLS
BARD talking books and Braille books (if one has a paired Braille display)
on iPhones, iPads and iPods with Internet access, has been submitted to the
Apple App Store and should be available in a couple of weeks.

 

The app closely mimmicks the NLS hardware player and has a set of commands
to read Braille books using a refreshable Braille display. (the app does not
have a back-translator). The app is quite responsive.

 

We have something to look forward to.
