Lauren:
Please accept my condolences. As debby has said, losing a parent is part of
life. But that doesn't make it easy. My thoughts go out to you in this time
of bereavement and also to your mother.
I lost my father on August 6, 2003 (Ben and Kaye remember). The thing I miss
most about him is not being able to tell him about all the weird events and
people in the world today and to enjoy his sardonic humor.
Anyway, hang in there. If any of us can help, please let us know.
I'm afraid that bringing Puerto Rico weather to Nebraska is beyond even Mark
Riccobono's capability, though.
Warmly,
Mike Freeman

Subject: [nfbwatlk] my Dad
Hi,
My dad had prostate cancer quite a number of years ago. With radiation
treatments, it went into remission. It came back with a vengeance a couple
months or so ago. After much stubbornness on the part of both of my parents,
they just moved on Monday to an assisted living facility with Dad receiving
hospice.
Dad passed on this morning. He was 91. He was a funny guy! I am worried
about Mom because she is very anxious and can be difficult at times. She may
elect to stay at the assisted living facility though I know she really would
like to go back home. I hope she can make some new friends there. I am kind
of up and down; okay sometimes, not others. I will be going back to NE in
the winter, which I said I'd never do again! I leave on the 3 of Jan. and
the memorial service will be on the 5 of Jan.
Thanks
Lauren
Blessings to you in the name of Jesus Christ
