The Human Resources Division is seeking a Training Consultant to join the Learning and Organizational Development Team. This energetic professional will be responsible for developing curriculum and teaching innovative trainings for multiple agencies throughout King County Government.

KEY DELIVERABLES AND EXPECTATIONS

*        Develop and modify curriculum for various trainings for use thought  King County government;



*        Teach workshops such as Leadership Academy, Difficult Conversations, Train the Trainer, and Change Management for Individual Contributors;


*        Facilitate 360's for managers, and provide feedback and coaching to help further assist in career development for employees;


*        Support and coordinate quarterly grounded schedule;


*        Coordinate with stakeholders across the organization to facilitate training needs assessment or other related needs;

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
The most competitive candidates will have a Bachelor's Degree in a related field and experience with Organizational Change & Training Development, or any combination of education and experience that clearly demonstrates the ability to perform all the key deliverables and expectations of the position. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate at a level 1:

*        Knowledge and use of leadership principles and practices;

*        Ability to supervise/manage staff including providing feedback and coaching;

*        Ability to provide workplace coaching to agencies.
At a level 2:


*        Ability to work with labor and  higher level management representatives;

*        Knowledge and use of continuous improvement, change management and Lean techniques;

*        Knowledge of and the ability to perform 360 evaluations and other psychometrics.

This position is represented by Teamsters Local 117, Professional and Technical Employees. Competitive candidates for this position who are career-service members of this bargaining unit will receive first consideration in the recruitment process.

The successful candidate will be classified in Level 2 position with an hourly salary range of $32.1940 - $40.8077 per hour, however a candidate with may be classified in a Level 1 position with an hourly salary range of $29.2803 - $37.1145 per hour if demonstrated experience and abilities do not meet the necessary qualifications for Level 2.
