[nfbwatlk] first aid

Same here although my course was through my employer. Just before I retired,
I took a CPR refresher course through my employer and was certified in both
the standard CPR taught to most laypersons now that uses just chest
compression and the mouth-to-mouth and compression CPR using a fluid barrier
taught to emergency medical personnel. In addition, we were taught to use a
automatic defibrolator -- I had never seen one before. To pass the test, one
had to get it out and hooked up within a minute or so. There were no breaks
given to me; even though I had never seen a defibrolator before, I was
subject to the same test criteria. BTW, I passed.

I took a First Aid class and was certified, but it's been so long
ago that I don't remember much about it. It was taught by some
guys from the Fire Department in Tacoma. It was a presty small
class, so he was able to give me a lot of one-on-one instruction.
Otherwise I just did everything everybody else did. Blessings,
Debby
