Subject: [wtbbl] Currency Readers
As of January 2, the library is not able to process requests for the iBill
currency reader. Patrons who would like to obtain a currency reader, and who
did not request one before December 31, need to complete an application from
the U.S. Bureau of Engraving and Printing. The form is available on the
Bureau's website at <http://www.moneyfactory.gov/uscurrencyreaderform.html>
http://www.moneyfactory.gov/uscurrencyreaderform.html or by calling the
Bureau toll-free at (844) 815-9388. For active library patrons, there is no
need to obtain a certifier's signature on the form - just check the box
indicating that the applicant is currently a registered patron of the
National Library Service for the Blind and Physically Handicapped.
If you have received a defective device or an empty box, or have any other
questions about the currency reader program, call the Bureau at (844)
815-9388.
These changes are at the request of NLS and the U.S. Bureau of Engraving and
Printing. We apologize for any inconvenience.
