Good morning NFBW:
I would strongly encourage you to *not* participate in any Skills Inc. sponsored usability studies.
The going rate is $150 - $200 per study for most other user research ferms that contract with Microsoft (two hour time blocks). Skills Inc. is taking advantage of blind folks by only offering $15 per hour.
This is Just my opinion, but I thought folks should know.

Marci-
There is another study next week. I was wondering if you think this is something you would be interested in? Microsoft said they can come to folks or folks can come to campus in Redmond, whatever is easiest. Here are the parameters for participants. If you know of anyone else who might be interested, let me know. We would be paying folks for their time at $15 per hour. If you know of anyone, please let me know right away and have them reach out to me as well.
A few key things to note for this specific study that we would like to ensure all the participants meet;
· Preferably all are completely Blind and rely on a screen reader to use technology
· Half of the participants currently use Outlook Desktop and have some kind of employment
· All use email for communication at least once a day
· All are current SmartPhone users preferably using iOS or Android devices
Ideally, interviews would happen Monday, June 13th & Tuesday June 14th but we’re flexible.
