All,

Let me add my thoughts and prayers for Sue. I considered her a friend since before she helped me get my job here in Seattle in the 1970s.Even after we went separate ways, we had contacted one another over the years, and had several social meetings as well as a number of phone conversations about strategies for advocating for the rights of blind persons. She was a strong spokesperson for individuals who are blind and were not being treated as first class citizens. She was always a fighter for blind persons, and was always involved in state advisory committees, ETC. Sue will certainly be missed by the blind community. RIP.

I am so sad to learn this. I’ve known Sue for many years as well and she will be dearly missed by me and so many others. Please keep us posted as to service details. Thanks for keeping us all informed. Wendy David

She was not a member of the NFB but she had a strong belief in the capabilities of blind people and fought to hold the agency accountable and fought for the civil rights of all blind people. I will miss her.
