Well, being a cat lover myself and knowing what great things Oskar has done, I'm very sorry that this happened. Cats have this way of worming their way into your heart, and then when something happens to them, they leave a big hole. Blessings, Debby

I spoke with Mick Szydlowsky earlier this evening and he is understandably quite upset and sad. His wife and 2 young children were also very close to Oskar. We send our condolences to them. Oskar’s book is on the Space Station and will still be read sometime in the near future. We will let everyone know when that happens. The reading is part of NASA’s “Story Time in Space” program. It will be broadcast live in schools around the country.

He passed suddenly (there was no indication of health problems) in a house filled with love, with his belly full. Although he was immediately rushed to a vet, nothing could be done for him. His time in this world was up, but he will never be forgotten. May he be off on new adventures, wherever those may be. Thank you for being a part of his life — we love you all!
