Hello everyone,

We are indeed here in the other Washington to meet with our Senators and Congresspeople and we need your help. 

Although we will be working on many legislative issues throughout the year we are focusing only on the ones noted below in our appointments this week so be sure to emphasize those.

Everyone should contact Senator Murray’s and Senator Cantwell’s offices and ask them to support the Marrakesh Treaty, co-sponsor the Access Technology Affordability Act (S 732) and co-sponsor the Accessible Instructional Materials in Higher Education Act )S. 2138).

House bills which are our focus this week are:
H.R. 1772 Accessible Instructional Materials in Higher Education Act
H.R. 1734 Access Technology Affordability Act
Opposition to H.R. 620 the ADA Education and Reform Act

You don’t have to be a super expert on every detail of every bill. Make a note with the basics of the bill or refer to the information about them contained in the link Matt Hines provided at the bottom of the email. A quick call or short email on the day we meet with your Representative can really make a difference
