Subject: Invitation to the WTBBL Building's 70th Anniversary
Dear PAC - I've attached the cover image of the invitation to our WTBBL
Building's 70th Anniversary Celebration. It is a split image of the building
- the left side of the building is the 1948 S.L. Savidge Dodge Dealership
and the right side of the building is the current WTBBL Building. Also
attached is a full pdf version of the complete invitation, which also has a
graphic from the newspaper announcing the open house for the grand opening
of the car dealership. Below I've typed out the text of the invitation. I
hope many of you will be able to join us. Please share the invitation with
those you think may be interested. We're really hoping our first fundraiser
will be a great success!! All the best, Danielle
Eat, Drink, and Support the Washington Talking Book & Braille Library!
You're invited to join us Monday, August 20, 2018, from 6-8 p.m. for a
celebration of the 70th anniversary of WTBBL's Streamline Moderne home.
At this special event, Washington Secretary of State Kim Wyman will
commemorate WTBBL's timeless
significance with the unveiling of a new exhibit about the library and its
landmark building.
Secretary Wyman, Lieutenant Governor Cyrus Habib, a WTBBL patron, and an
architectural historian will present a short program, and music will be
provided by a live local quartet. Guests are also invited to join private
tours of this unique Seattle icon and to sign up for an exciting raffle.
Heavy hors d'oeuvres with a delicious selection of Washington beer and wine
will be served.
Because space is limited, an RSVP is required.
The suggested contribution is $50 per person.
Please RSVP by August 10th online at www.wtbbl.org or call (360) 902-4171.
