As a Starbucks senior specialist on the Starbucks Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Accessibility team, you will have the opportunity to elevate and strengthen the new Starbucks Accessibility Office and support the broader team's communication efforts. The Accessibility Office champions accessibility initiatives, such as disability hiring and inclusive design. This role will build tools, processes, and infrastructure to enable and elevate our accessibility efforts. You will work closely with the senior manager, Accessibility Office, to break the stigma associated with disability and create the most disability-inclusive culture for our partners and customers. You will also work with the entire team to prepare communications regarding our inclusion and equity work and help the team build presence across social media platforms. As a senior specialist on this team, you will serve as an ambassador of our efforts with leaders across US Retail and the enterprise.
The Accessibility Office is part of the Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Accessibility team reporting to Partner Resources. This position will be based in the Seattle Support Center.
Leveraging your previous experience, we will enable you to:
* Create a comprehensive communications calendar for the team
* Develop a meaningful presence on internal and external communication sites, including social media channels (hub pages)
* Curate and create content
* Develop featured stories and videos with plan to amplify
* Maintain internal department hub sites (Accessibility Office, IDEA team)
* Monitor and respond to Accessibility Office inbox
* Design and refresh branding opportunities that optimize disability inclusion and accessibility
* Assist in the preparation of reports, presentations, meetings and events
* Create and maintain an accessibility dashboard of key performance indicators supplemented with master project tracker system
* Track metrics to promote effective program development
* Maintain documentation for vendor contracts, invoicing, accommodation equipment inventory tracking

* Expertise in disability inclusion and accessible design
* Excellent writing, editing (photo/video/text), presentation and communication skills
* Experience and solid understanding of social media channels
* Project management skills
* Deaf culture knowledge and ASL fluency a plus
