The House bill number is HR 873 and the Senate bill number is S. 260. The CSAVR Executive Committee was made aware of this legislation at the Winter Executive Committee meeting in Phoenix, AZ in January and the national office wrote a letter of support for the legislation.

The Section by Section which is a link to click on below,  provides a brief synopsis of each of the 5 Titles of the legislation. Please note in Sec. 102 that the State is the grantee and in Sec. 103, the eligible entity is the grantee. State VR Agencies are expected to be partners, but cannot apply for these grants.

 This is a wonderful opportunity for States who are interested to pursue funding to move individuals from sheltered employment to competitive integrated employment.  We hope many states will take advantage of this opportunity.
