Hey Marci, do we need to have a going-away party for you? LOL. I admit reading Ben's message cracked me up. That would be a good one for one of READER's DIGEST's old humor columns. Speaking of which: Now this may only be really fudny to those who have or have had a guide dog. This was in Reader's Digest a long time ago and I never forgot it. A young man was trying to cut across the grass on a college campus, but his dog would have none of that. A bystander asked him what the problem was. The student replied, "I'm trying to cut class, but my dog won't let me." LOL. Dogs can dig their feet in and just not move, especially if they think you are wrong. LOL. Debby

We will be undertaking initiatives to increase membership, pass state legislation to end the payment of subminimum wages, engage parents and students, increase new members’ knowledge of the Federation and develop new leaders. We are going for a record attendance at this year‘s NFB national convention in Las Vegas and at our state convention in Olympia next November.

Bring new people into the organization. We need all of you and those you know. With love, hope and determination we will help more blind people live the lives we want and we will build the National Federation of the Blind of Washington.
