Please see the message below from President Carpenter:
Greetings colleagues,
Kris Colcock, Buna Dahal and I are here in the other Washington ready to
meet with our Representatives and Senators. We need your Help. Below are our
4 appointments for Tuesday, January 29. I am giving you the phone numbers
for each office. Call these offices if you live in the particular
Congressional district, and everyone should call Senator Cantwell's office.
If you are unsure about which district you live in go to
https://www.house.gov/representatives/find-your-representative to find out.
I am also enclosing a link to all 3 of the issues we will be discussing with
the Members of Congress. I will post our Wednesday appointments later today.
There is one more exciting piece of legislative news to share. Today
President Trump signed and sent to Geneva the Marrakesh Treaty ratification
document and it has been sent to Geneva. This was the final step in bringing
the US into the Marrakesh Treaty. As President Riccobono said tonight at the
Great Gathering In, we are the National Federation of the Blind and we will
not be shut down!
