Greetings fellow Federationists!
Wow! What a fantastic time many of us had at this year’s NFB convention in Las Vegas! Perhaps the biggest highlight was President Mark Riccobono’s speech, which some have begun calling a Freedom Manifesto. He talked about the importance freedom plays in the life of a blind person and how we need to exercise our own freedom! The convention and speech brought us back alive and vibrant and ready for new activities!
We will begin these new activities this coming Saturday with our fun annual Seattle chapter picnic. Jamal and Susan Mazrui have graciously opened their home to NFB members, along with friends and family members! It will be a grand time for everyone to get together, learn more about the organization, ask questions about the recent convention, or simply have a burger and drink while catching up with friends.
Details follow, including directions to the Mazrui house.
