The Department of Human Resources (DHR) is seeking an experienced and innovative trainer for the position of Harassment Prevention Educator. The Harassment Prevention Educator is a part of the Learning and Development team, which is housed within the Career and Culture Division of DHR. This position will report directly to the Learning and Development Manager and in this role the incumbent will co-design and lead the development and implementation of training to help address anti-harassment, discrimination, retaliation issues, and unfair practices within the County. This is an exciting opportunity to bring policy knowledge, thought-leadership, relationship management, and innovation to create this new training program. Our goal is to elevate the health and wellbeing of our workforce. This training program will consist of policy review and implementation, program and curriculum design, vendor identification-learning, course room training, consultation services as well as a marking campaign component. NOTE: The King County Coalition of Unions has bargained a 4% General Wage Increase for this position for January 1, 2019. This increase will be implemented after ratification of the Agreement by the Coalition and the County Council.

Work Schedule
The typical workweek is 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday. This position is exempt from the provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act, and is not overtime eligible.
