Subject: Request regarding ICBVI Summer Program
CAUTION: This email originated from outside of WSSB. Do not open links or attachments unless you recognize the sender and know the content is safe.
My name is Alison Steven, and I am the Transition Coordinator for the Idaho Commission for the Blind and Visually Impaired. As such, I put together our Idaho summer programs for blind and visually impaired youth. These are residential programs held at Boise State University. We hire temporary summer staff to run Daily living, recreational activities, job skills and dorm life. This year, I am very keen to hire blind and visually impaired staff who can be role models and mentors to our participants. I would love to share this opportunity with BVI individuals who may be looking for summer work.
We have all summer staff participate in a training which is part of the paid hours. The dates start on June 12 with staff training and run through July 28 when our VIEW (Visually Impaired Experiencing Work) Program concludes.
If there are any interested individuals, they could call me for more details. We will be able to provide accommodation for the duration of the programs.
I have attached our job posting as well.
I would appreciate your thoughts on this, and if you could share this request for me I would be most grateful.
With warm regards,
Alison
