Hello,

I know everyone will not be there for dinner tomorrow night, so it would be helpful to get a head count for purposes of purchasing food. If you plan to attend, please respond to this email.

Thanks!

Hello Again!

A few more updates:

1. Friday night we will be gathering at the Air B&B NFBO has secured. There will be Fried Chicken, Grilled Chicken and some sides. Bring a dessert to share or a side dish if you want. NOT REQUIRED! Mainly a social time . Carla will provide us with the address soon.

Saturday night:

The Blind Onion Pizza place is nearby and we truly enjoyed their hospitality last year.

See you all Friday night or Saturday morning! BTW, if you are arriving Saturday morning, the door nearest the Staff Room in the Irwin building will be opened by 8:45am. It is the same door used by our Clark County Chapter. Parking will also be available in the lot near the gym / Irwin bilding.

NFB Bell Academy In Person Training May 31 - June 1

Hello Everyone!

Are you getting ready for this weekend? I am so excited to see all of you in person for our NFB Bell Academy training. Here are a few things to note.

Start times for the In-Person Training

Friday:
Social Gathering. Place to be announced. I know, I know, but I promise you will know before Friday evening.
I'll be getting into Vancouver around 5:30pm and stopping by the store for a quick shopping trip before I get to WSSB. So no worries about arriving early. Things won't kick off before 6:00pm at the earliest. Make sure I have your phone numbers that I can text before Friday.

Saturday:
9:00am Welcome - Be ready for a great day of team building and learning!
Noon: Lunch - Preparing sandwiches under learning shades. If you have dietary needs, please bring your own food. We will provide the usual lunch meats, bread, condiments. If you wish to bring a side dish to share, that's great but not required.
1:00pm Back to the training! We will be walking around the school in the afternoon. Bring comfortable shoes.
6:00pm Dinner - The Blind Onion? Somewhere else? Vancouver has a good transit system as well as ride share options.

Sunday
9:am Welcome Back. Be ready for day 2
Noon: Say goodBye until August!

Things you will need:
1. Bring a plain white T-Shirt. We are going to try our hand at creating our own NFB BELL Academy T-Shirts. We will use spray bottles, liquid watercolors and maybe some puff paint. We want to do this beforehand to see what works and what doesn't so we can have a successful craft with the kids.

2. Bring your own breakfasts. For the training you will be on your own for breakfast. Refrigeration is available.

3. If you have specific dietary needs be sure to bring appropriate foods along. We do our best to take into account allergies and diet but to ensure you have what you need it is best to bring something you know you can eat.

4. No alcohol, tobacco products of any kind on school property!

For those traveling and needing lodging, I'll send you a seperate email. Know that if you stay at the school, we will take time to clean up after ourselves. If you have any questions, please call me or email me.

See you soon!!
