Subject: Call for volunteers to help survey accessible voting units across
the stateCc:

Marci, Kris, Nikki-- wondering if you could help me get this out to some of
the NFB Group list that you're on in Washington state? Thanks!
Anna

DRW is looking for disabled advocates who use accessible voting units
(AVUs) to help us survey the accessibility of voting centers in counties
with upcoming elections this February 11. Not every jurisdiction has a
special February election. This is part of a larger project to survey the
accessibility of voting centers across the state so there will be more
opportunities to participate throughout the year.

Each county provides AVUs to disabled voters who cannot independently vote
with standard mail-in ballots. These devices have a variety of
accessibility options including audio, large font, color contrast, touch
screen and tactile input to assist voters in marking a ballot.

If you use or are interested in using AVUs to vote and would like to help
us understand how easy they are for the community to access, please reach
out to Cecelia at 425-359-5256 or ceceliab at dr-wa.org
