sharing this, LouOma. It seems like a good start for ideas. However, I
don’t see any direction as to how a community provider can apply formally for
funds to implement a project that would meet these needs. I see on the <A
href="http://www.recovery.wa.gov/">www.recovery.wa.gov</A> website that it looks
like most state agencies have a contact to whom organizations can apply for ways
to implement projects. Or is this truly just meant to be something
implemented internally by DSB and you would like additional ideas to supplement
how DSB intends to spend the money. Looks like lots of good ideas in
there, but I suspect some of this could be implemented much faster by a local
provider who already may have some of this stuff in place. For example, we
have a large information and referral database that includes nearly all of the
eye care doctors in the state as well as many other referral sources. As an
organization already taking hundreds of info call per month, this may something
we could ramp up pretty quickly with some funding. Funding could be used to
further develop this into a web-based application that could be hosted and
maintained by us. It would meet all the goals you have stated and would
not need long-term maintenance cost by the state if it is hosted elsewhere other
than the state agency. </SPAN></FONT></P>
