I encourage people to go to the meeting and testify in the morning. Mike Freeman has been serving on a statewide committee looking at the UEB switch. The current proposal says that Washington will keep the Nemeth code for math. Some teachers have apparently balked at The requirement for a recertification test every five years. They apparently want to be able to count clock hours rather than have to take a test. Our position is that they need to take the test.

I noticed that Emily's email has the wrong month although the agenda has the correct one. Mike is going to read over the current draft of the material. He and I will then discuss our strategy. I will be testifying in the morning. Although I haven't discussed this with him yet we may want to have a conference call for those interested a few days before the hearing.

Marci

Sent from XFINITY Connect Mobile App

------ Original Message ------

From: 'NFB of Washington Talk Mailing List' List'
To: 'NFB of Washington Talk Mailing List' List'
Cc: Jennifer Gandarias
Sent: January 9, 2016 at 1:38 PM
Subject: Re: [nfbwatlk] Fwd: [EVE] PESB Hearing for WAC Changes pertaining to the Braille Code

It looks like this report will only be given 10 minutes of the day.
