Monday, July 6

for Opportunity
9:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. General Session begins, opening ceremony and roll call of states (During general sessions attendees sit with their state delegations much like a political convention.)
12:00 p.m. - 1:45 p.m. Exhibit Hall open
2:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. General Session, Presidential Report, and guest speakers
7:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. Exhibit Hall open for exhibiting sponsors only. Guests and the general public are invited during this special time when only exhibiting sponsors will be open
8:00 p.m. Social activities and committee meetings
Tuesday, July 7
9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. General Session
12:00 p.m. - 1:45 p.m. Exhibit Hall open
2:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. General Session

Registration
All attending are encouraged to register. The exhibitor's fee does not include the convention registration fee of $20 per person. By preregistration online, or by using the 2009 National Convention PreRegistration Form, during the preregistration timeframe of March 1st through May 31st, you will save $5 per person.
The registration fee if paid in Detroit will be $20, and registration will open Saturday morning, July 4, at 9:00 a.m. At that time those registering will receive a convention agenda in print, Braille, or disk format. Agendas will also be available online prior to the convention.
Hotel Rates
The schedule of room rates for the Detroit Marriott at the Renaissance Center, special for those attending and registering at the National Federation of the Blind convention, will be as follows: singles and doubles, $62; for triples, $66, and for quads, $68. All charges are subject to a sales/room tax, which is currently 15 percent. No charge will be made for children under eighteen in the room with parents as long as no extra bed is requested.
