ROMNEY - The West Virginia Department of Education posted a "vacancy"
position to replace the superintendent for the West Virginia Schools for the
Deaf

and the Blind, on Tuesday.

Patsy Shank, who currently holds the position will step down, but will
remain as part of the WVSD&B team, according to Liza Cordiero, executive
director,

WVDOE.

Cordiero said, "Patsy Shank will continue in the superintendent capacity
until a new person is put in her place."

"When the new person comes (Patsy) will continue in a different capacity at
the school."

Advertisement for the position continues through March 23, after which
interviews of applicants will be held, Cordiero said.
