[Nfbwv-talk] Article in Braille Monitor

[Ed McDonald]

Just for the record, let me say that I actually did not submit the article 
directly to the Braille Monitor. I wrote most of it several years ago when 
we inducted Bob into the NFBWV Hall of Honor. Then when Bob died back in 
July, I updated it slightly and posted it to a couple of NFB discussion 
lists. Gary Wunder--who is always on the lookout for Monitor 
material--apparently read it and captured it for publication in the 
magazine.

I am a bit embarrassed to admit that I had fallen a little behind on reading 
the Monitor, and I did not know that the piece had been published in the 
November issue until it was brought to my attention.

I appreciate the fact that Gary considered it to be worthy of publication, 
but--more important--that he considered Bob's life and his passing to be 
worthy of recognition in the pages of the Monitor.

Thanks for the heads up concerning Ed's article on Bob Hunt.  I never met
the man, but somehow I feel I now know him.  Thanks, Ed.  Your article is
inspiring.  I feel both humbled and inspired.  I just don't know what to
say.
