Larry Kenneth Kirby, 56, of Charleston, passed away Thursday, Jan. 19,
2012, at his residence while under the care of Hospice.
Born May 24, 1955, in Martinsburg, he was the son of Joyce Maxine
(Barrett) Kirby Fulk, of Bunker Hill and Harry Kenneth Kirby and wife,
Jean P. Kirby, of Inwood.
He was employed as a food vendor from 1983, until he retired in 2011.
He was a 1975 graduate of the Romney School for the Deaf and Blind.
He was a member of the Bunker Hill Presbyterian Church.
Larry was an avid walker and actually walked in all of the 48
continental states.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Ruth Kirby; one
son, Eric; four daughters, Jennifer, Joy, Kirsten and Monica; two
brothers, Steve L. Kirby, of Brooksville, Fla., and Michael K.
Hovermale, of Gerrardstown; one sister, Karen Rose, of Inwood; 12
grandchildren; and his faithful companion, Roxanna.
He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2012, at
Brown Funeral Home South Berkeley Chapel in Inwood with the Rev. Curtis
Wheeler officiating. Interment will be in Snyder's Cemetery in Morgan
County.
Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Jan. 23, 2012, at
Brown Funeral Home South Berkeley Chapel.
