Good afternoon,

The West Virginia Library Commission is teaming up with the Department
of Education and the Arts to welcome New York Times best-selling author
Michael Hingson to the Culture Center on Monday, August 6, 2012. Mr.
Hingson will be speaking at 3:00 PM and then again from 7:00 to 9:00 PM
in the evening. He will be selling copies of his book after the events.
There will also be a cookie and punch reception after the evening
speech. His book, Thunder Dog: A Blind Man, His Guide Dog, and the
Triumph of Trust at Ground Zero, details Hingson's experience during the
9/11 attacks on the World Trade Center. Hingson, who has been blind
since birth, was led out of the World Trade Center by his guide dog,
Roselle. In recent years, Hingson has devoted his time to sharing his
incredible story with people around the world. For more information,
visit Michael's website at http://michaelhingson.com/newsite/.

Thank you!
