Greetings Fellow Federationists,

Please find as an attachment a letter your chapter can print and use to
submit to businesses to request the donation of auction items for this
year's state convention. It is important that all chapter members take
an active part in soliciting items as they are needed to raise the funds
necessary to carry on our work and initiatives.

WE have found that you will have the most success if you hand carry
these letters to local businesses. Just go into the store and ask to
speak with the manager and then submit this letter to him/her while you
are verbally explaining your request. Please start by asking to speak
directly with the manager as this is the person who most generally has
the authority to approve a donation request. If the manager isn't in at
the time of your visit, be sure to follow-up the submission of your
letter within a day or two with a follow-up visit or phone call.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me via E-mail or
call me at 304-672-3445.

Charlene
