I wish you the very best of luck.  NYC is a great place.  It's a great idea that you are going up ahead of time.  You should also try to get in touch with your professors ahead of time.  They can tell you about the required texts so you can get a jump on getting them in accessible formats.  You can also ask them about things like e-mailing you handouts in accessible formats ahead of class instead of handing you paper during class.

I figured I would write to announce that I'm moving to NYC on April 29th. I begin school at John Jay College of Criminal Justice in the fall. I'll also be getting my guidedog in June. So I'm off to NYC to do some testing for school and find a place. :) keri
