Subject: [Nfbnet-members-list] Tomorrow is Twitter Tuesday to Gain
Supportfor HR 831!

Federation Family:

This week is our week of action to gain more support for H.R. 831! As
many of you likely know:

Tomorrow is Twitter Tuesday, Wednesday is Call Wednesday and Thursday is
Email Thursday.

The idea is, by tweeting on Tuesday, we will raise awareness about H.R.
831 to not only our Representatives, but also all of our followers on
Twitter. By calling on Wednesday, we will be putting H.R. 831 on our
Representatives' radars. Finally, by emailing on Thursday, we will be
sealing the deal by making the formal written request to the labor
staffers. I know that if we work together, we will be able to gain even
more co-sponsors.

Since tomorrow is Twitter Tuesday, please find some sample tweets below.
Of course, creating your own tweets is encouraged, and don't forget to
tag your Representatives and use the hashtag #fairwages. You can find a
list of handles of Representatives here: http://govsm.com/w/House .

Thank you all in advance for all of your work!

Yours in the fight for fair wages,

Rose

Help prevent people with disabilities being paid less than the minimum
wage. Support #fairwages by cosponsoring HR 831 @SpeakerBoehner.

It is outrageous that people with disabilities can be paid 3 cents an
hour. If you agree, support #fairwages by cosponsoring HR 831
@repjohnkline

@gopleader, cosponsor HR 831. Ensure that people with disabilities
receive the #fairwages we deserve.

The National Federation of the Blind knows that blindness is not the
characteristic that defines you or your future. Every day we raise the
expectations of blind people, because low expectations create obstacles
between blind people and our dreams. You can live the life you want;
blindness is not what holds you back.
