Kevin Maynus asked that I share the following with all of you:
Greetings from iCanConnect, the National Deaf-Blind Equipment Distribution Program. iCanConnect provides distance communication equipment and training free of charge to low income individuals with significant combined hearing and vision loss. The program is mandated by federal law and is administered by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC).
The West Virginia iCanConnect program is presenting a special free Demo Day event on Thursday, May 19, 2016 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Days Inn Conference Center in Flatwoods, WV.
Program administrators will be on hand to answer questions, including information about eligibility and how to apply to iCanConnect in West Virginia. Equipment manufacturer representatives will demonstrate their equipment and explain the benefits to people with hearing and vision loss, to help them stay connected.
Attendance at Demo Day is free, and while registration is not required, advance notice of attendance would be appreciated as soon as possible, especially if any guest attendee requires interpreters/special accommodations. Please fill out the following form and return to Rachel Gill at the contact information below.
Please feel free to share this invitation with others in West Virginia who may be interested in iCanConnect.
Sincerely,
Marcia Brooks
Director
