Federationists,
I have been hearing on the news today regarding the controversy surrounding the relocation of the west Virginia Institute of Technology from its current home in Montgomery to Beckley. Among the items the legislature seems to be taking up is that the original law requires and has it it's code that the campus be located in Montgomery, and it is that code they are trying to change to enable the relocation to Beckley.
I bring this up on this list mainly because, as we have discussed in the past, a similar law provides for the West Virginia schools for the deaf and blind to be located in Romney, and we had discussed that that location in the codification of that law would itself require changing. It is worth that, though not regular, the legislature could take up such a task if they had a mind to, given the current situation with WV IT.
Just a thought.
