Bob, You all are in our thoughts and prayers. She had angels watching over her for sure.

Peace
Karen

She is healing slowly. She reached up to hang a fern on our back porch, got dizzy and fell backwards down twelve concrete steps. I heard her crying and called 911. She was in ICU for 3 days. Believe it or not, she did not break a single bone, but she had internal bleeding. A scan of her body showed that her organs were OK, so the bleeding was in her muscles. Her blood pressure fell to 60 over 31! Yikes! I don't know how many units of blood she received. If they did surgery, they(the trauma surgeon) felt that she would bleed out! She has a concussion, big bumps on the front and back of her head. Two black eyes Bruises galore. 4 ribs with multiple fractures ribs. AT first the emt's thought she had a broken leg, but it was just a contusion. She can't drive, but she is able to get around slowly. Lucky to be alive, thank you very much!

What a fall! I go out into the driveway, and the first words out of her mouth are "don't touch me! After our sons got there and the ambulance had arrived, she says "tell Pastor Joel, I won't be able to make it in the morning". What a gal!.

Have a great day, 73

Bob Hicks, KC8CR
