> Come be a part of groundbreaking research on graphical access! NSF-funded researchers (from Saint Louis University, University of Nevada Las Vegas, University of Maine, and University of Alabama Huntsville) are exploring how to convey graphics (such as charts, graphs, and maps) on touchscreens using vibrations and sounds for blind and visually impaired individuals. In this study, we will learn how individuals interact with and understand graphics presented on a touchscreen and in tactile form. User input is critical in designing new technology interfaces, and we need your feedback!
>
>
>
> Any adult (18+) individual with blindness or visual impairment at the NFB 2019 Convention may participate. However, individuals must have sensation in their fingers, mobility of their hand to be able to move across a touchscreen, as well as a functional level of hearing. Individuals must also read braille at a functional level.
>
>
>
> Each individual will be in the study for up to 90 minutes. During the study, individuals will explore and interpret graphics in multiple ways on a touchscreen and on a tactile graphic. Individuals will be asked questions pertaining to the content of the graphics and asked to provide their feedback on the touchscreen display of graphics.

> Individuals will each be compensated for their time with a $25 American Express gift card.

> Sessions are available only during the NFB 2019 convention in Las Vegas from Sunday July 7th - Tuesday July 9th, to not conflict with convention's general sessions. To learn more or enter the study, please e-mail touchscreenstudies at gmail.com<mailto:touchscreenstudies at gmail.com> with your preferred availability. Thank you for your time and consideration!
