Subject: [Nfbnet-members-list] Blind and Low-Vision Adults needed for
Spatial Ability Research at 2019 NFB National Convention

A team of researchers at Utah State University (USU), in partnership with
the NFB, has received a grant from the National Science Foundation to
support blind and low vision youth in Engineering. One aspect of this work
involves measuring and improving spatial ability, a mental skill associated
with success in engineering and related fields. The USU research team is
currently developing an accessible spatial ability test by adapting an
existing instrument into a new, tactile form. In order to establish this
test as a reliable instrument, we are looking for blind and low-vision
adults, 18 and older, to take the test at the NFB National Convention
Monday, July 8th, through Thursday, July 11th, Participation in this study
will require about 45 minutes of your time. Compensation will not be
provided for participating in this research. If you are interested in
participating, please fill out the following form, and we will get in touch
to schedule a time.
